GetDriver Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GetDriver ("GetDriver", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the GetDriver mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described below.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

• Account and contact information: your name, email address, telephone number, password, and account identifiers.
• Driver verification information: date of birth, identification details, address, driving licence details and images, driving experience, vehicle information, profile photo, health information you provide, and emergency-contact details.
• Payment and payout information: bank name, account holder name, account number, transaction references, payment status, earnings, and receipts. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers.
• Booking and location information: pickup and destination addresses, precise or approximate location, journey details, job status, dates, times, and photos uploaded to document a job.
• Device and technical information: push-notification tokens, IP address, device and operating-system information, app activity, diagnostics, and security logs.
• Communications: messages and information you provide when contacting support or communicating about a booking.

Where the app requests access to location, camera, photos, or notifications, you can manage those permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work without the relevant permission.

How we use information

We use information to:

• create and secure accounts, verify drivers, and provide the Service;
• match and manage bookings, share necessary trip details, and enable location-based features;
• process fees and driver payouts and maintain transaction records;
• send service messages, receipts, verification codes, and push notifications;
• provide support, maintain and improve the Service, and diagnose technical issues;
• prevent fraud, misuse, and safety incidents; and
• comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

How we share information

We may share information:

• Between users: customers and drivers receive the identity, contact, vehicle, location, and booking details reasonably needed to complete and support a job.
• With service providers: vendors supporting hosting, storage, maps and location services, notifications, communications, analytics, customer support, payment processing, and security may process information on our behalf.
• For legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, the public, our rights, or the integrity of the Service.
• In a business transfer: information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business, safety, legal, tax, and accounting purposes. Retention periods vary by the type of information and applicable obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it where reasonably practicable.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. No transmission or storage system is completely secure. Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, where privacy laws may differ; when required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Your choices and rights

You may update certain account information in the app and control app permissions through your device. Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction on the use of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where legally permitted or required.

To request deletion of your GetDriver account and associated personal data, use our GetDriver account deletion request form. Deleting the app does not by itself delete your account.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will publish the revised policy here and update its effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice in the app or through another appropriate channel.
